Homemade Dolls, Clothes and Bears

Powerpoint Presentation by Helaine E

The pictures of her abbreviated collection are a walk down memory lane, as well as a historical journey through doll making.  The detail in each doll is so exquisite.

Here is one of porcelain dolls she made, Snow Angel.  “SNOW ANGEL”, she is dressed in blue satin dress and the same fabric quilted to scale for her coat.  She used Marabou fur around the edges of the coat and encircles her head.  White feathers make her wings.  Helaine said it was always challenging to scale things down to doll size and also to use fabrics that mimicked what was used during that time.
